No matter how well travelled you are, it’s comforting to know you’re in safe hands. Your health and safety is our top priority. What’s more, we work closely with local partners for up-to-date local information before issuing a Riviera Supplier Approved Certificate.

Before and after travel

  • Travel insurance that covers Covid-19 as standard so if you fall ill whilst on holiday, whatever the cause, rest assured you’re in safe hands.
  • Our best in class health & safety practices meet the very highest standards, and are underwritten by Ian Greaves (MCIEH), a leading independent expert.
  • 24/7 access to the UK team. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year, no matter when or where you choose to travel, you’ll always have direct access to our UK team
  • Every attraction and supplier is checked for basic Covid-19 requirements, such as hand sanitiser use, social distancing, PPE guidelines and any restrictions that may change your holiday, so we can ensure your holiday is the best it can be.
  • We’ll always send you the latest guidelines on each country before travel, as well as constantly monitoring ourselves.
  • Our Tour Managers and Cruise Directors are WHO trained. They will all complete a training course and be kept updated on latest rules and procedures.
  • All travellers will take a pre-travel declaration to assess if anybody has had Covid-19 in the 14 days before departure date.
  • We have revised our itineraries to be Covid-19 safe to ensure safety and social distancing, whilst maintaining the same high standards we are known for.
  • We will let you know if anybody in your group has shown Covid-19 symptoms in the 14 days after the holidays. 

Tours

  • All our UK and European tours in 2021 and 2022 that are currently on sale will be run as small group experiences with a maximum group size of 25 guests, travelling socially distanced on comfortable, air-conditioned coaches. Applies to new bookings made after the 20th December 2020.
  • There will be 50% capacity on our full size coaches as standard.
  • Hand sanitiser is available on all tours and staff will all wear PPE according to local regulations. Face masks may also be required at certain points and attractions as per the country’s guidelines.
  • Every hotel matched against our exacting standards – we have personally visited and double checked the cleanliness, comfort and facilities at all of our hand-picked hotels. All UK tours in particular have adhered to the Good-to-go scheme.
  • There will be enhanced cleaning methods throughout your tour, with coaches deep cleaner, suitcase handles disinfected and your own headset for the whole tour.

River Cruise

  • All guests will be required to take a mandatory Covid-19 test before departure for all river cruises, for your peace of mind.
  • All crew will be tested and quarantined before embarking, with a requirement of a medical certificate or negative test before working on board.
  • A gleaming fleet of river cruise ships – our dedicated team will ensure each vessel is scrupulously clean and additional on-board procedures have been introduced for your safety. Touch points and shared equipment disinfected regularly, as well as suitcase handles.
  • Social distancing on coaches for all excursions and embarkation with temperature checks upon re-boarding.
  • Daily temperature checks and ongoing health screenings for all crew members, with crew to wear face coverings where required.
  • There will be tests available on board for anyone feeling unwell.
  • Contact free services and full waiter service throughout the ship and in cabin will create a safer meal experience, with seating allowing for social distancing.
  • Hand sanitisers available throughout the ship and in cabin.
