Hi

I've just booked on the Solo India Tour for October 2019 and although it is a year before I go, I am very excited to have the tour to look forward to. I have wanted to travel to India since I was a teenager and for various reasons have never been able to go - until now. Would love to hear from others that have been on this tour (or plan to go). The reviews on the site are very positive; common thread is a lot of travelling and early starts - all part of the experience!! Any tips/ recommendations or general chat would be welcome

TrevorP! Good to know that next year you will visit India and you are excited for this tour which is right. For your India tour, I suggest you should explore Taj Mehal in Agra which is the most famous attraction in India and also a symbol of love. I am sure you will enjoy the great sort of fun there.

Thanks Jose14

I will be looking more closely at places to explore nearer to my journey. I am particularly excited about the rail travel and have watched a few You Tube videos on the Shimla train journey.

Hi Trevor I too am hoping to visit india in 2019. I have travelled with Riviera travel before and found their tours to be very organised. As india is further a field than European countries that ive experienced am a little apprehensive and like you would like to chat to others who have completed this tour in the past. I hope they feel comfortable highlighting and downfalls they encountered along with the positives

Hi Jbrierley,

The India and Shimla tour is one of our most popular tours so we have a number of testimonials online that can be found in the Holiday Reviews section of the forum (viewforum.php?f=4).

As the itinerary of this tour is the same as the standard one you can also have a look at those testimonials, which can be found here: https://www.rivieratravel.co.uk/testimo ... nsion-tour

I hope you manage to find some of our solo clients who have been as well to give you their impressions directly.

Kind regards,

Erik.
