Re: First time traveller

Dear Jane and Hazel,

You will each be sent a couple of Riviera luggage labels in our very fetching shade of turquoise, so hopefully if everyone places one on both their hold and hand luggage then it should be easier for you to recognise and find each other!

Re: Montenegro Sept 2019

Hi Olivier,

In that case you should both be fine, but please do remember to take your passport as well, since Montenegro is not part of the EU you may not be able to travel there on a simple EU ID card.

Re: Suitcase limits?

Dear Mary, Life would be simple if the luggage limits were the same for all airlines! When you travel with Riviera your flight tickets automatically come with hold luggage irrespective of the airline, so you do not need to book it online (unless you feel that you would like to take more with you). O...

Re: Solo Douro cruise November 8 2019

Hello Chris, I've had a chat with my colleagues in the river cruising department and here are the timings for the last couple of days in Porto: - 14th Nov arrive in Villa Nova de Gaia (south bank of Porto) around 11:00 and visit nearby port cellar. Hi Olivier, The above dates I gave are for next year. If you want to look at all of our departure dates then I recommend either ordering or downloading a brochure (m) or visiting our website and checking the departure dates of the specific tour(s) you're interested in. Most of our 2020 dates are ava...

Re: Montenegro Sept 2019

Hi Olivier, Currently British passport holders can enter visa free to Montenegro for up to 90 days. And since Montenegro isn't part of the EU this status shouldn't be affected by Brexit. However please be aware that your passport should have 3 months validity on it after the planned date of departur...

Re: Italy for a solo traveller

Hi Andy, We organise escorted tours only, so I can't help you much with ideas about booking yourself and doing your own thing. However I can give you a list of our solo tours to Italy that depart in May next year, and perhaps one of them will take your fancy. Walking in Tuscany, departing on 12/05 f...

Re: Welcome!

Hi Fraser, Welcome to Riviera Travel. Whilst we do not do much in the way of adventure activities (although we do have a zipwire optional activity on our Costa Rica tour) we do go to a wide range of incredible destinations which mix the big ticket sites (such as the Taj Mahal, Las Vegas, and the Gre...

Re: Vietnam Cambodia and Laos

Hi Viola, For the plugs all three countries use the standard 2-pin round European plugs (they were French colonies after all!), and whilst some of the hotels we use may have UK 3-pin adaptors built in a European adaptor would be useful. With regards to currency sterling is widely accepted and if you...
