The newest river cruiser on the Mekong and operated by a French-Vietnamese joint venture, the RV Mekong Prestige II was launched in late 2013 and features just 32 spacious staterooms.
All the images displayed here are from its sister ship, the Mekong Prestige I, launched in late 2012, so there may be some small cosmetic changes. Spread out over three decks, there’s plenty of outdoor and indoor space to relax in. At the very top of the ship is the spacious Sun Deck, with a large plunge pool and plenty of sun loungers which you can relax on under the awning or in the sun and affording the best views of the river life around the ship. The bar and comfortable air-conditioned lounge are also on the same deck, as is the ship’s small spa and fitness room. The restaurant is located on the Upper Deck and is bright and airy with fine linen and excellent service and can accommodate all guests in one sitting.
Each stateroom features full-length panoramic sliding glass doors and your own private balcony. There’s a luxury en-suite shower room with hairdryer and bathrobes, a writing desk, two armchairs with coffee table, personal safe and individually controlled air-conditioning.
Main Deck Staterooms are very spacious indeed at 20 square metres (215 square feet), including the balcony and feature twin beds which may also be pushed together to create a double bed.
Upper Deck Staterooms are also 20 square metres (215 square feet) including the balcony.
Junior Suites are 24 square metres (258 square feet) including a larger balcony and beautifully decorated. They are located at the bow of the ship on the Main Deck and feature Queensize beds, full bath tub and separate shower.
Terrace Suites are 27 square metres (290 square feet) with facilities as the Junior suites and are located on the Upper Deck.
