Cruise the Heart of Europe: Explore the Rhine, Main and Danube
Sail through the breathtaking scenery along the Rhine and Danube to visit some of Europe’s most popular capital cities, stopping at the picturesque medieval towns and villages along the way.
Experience a variety of medieval towns and imperial cities, from quintessential Bamberg to classical Vienna, and through the dramatic scenery of the Rhine Gorge. This fifteen-day river cruise takes you on a journey from Cologne in the heart of the Rhine Valley to Budapest on the banks of the Danube.
Travelling through Germany along the Rhine, we stop in historic Koblenz and Boppard and marvel at the stunning Rhine Gorge on our way to Rüdesheim, a town famous for its Riesling wine.
We join the Main River, stopping in Mainz, Miltenberg, Würzburg and the medieval town of Bamberg before reaching our halfway point, the Bavarian city of Nuremberg.
From here, we pass through the Main-Danube canal to the picturesque Danube, stopping at Regensburg and Passau.
Over the next five days, we sail through Austria, stopping in Melk and Vienna, home of Strauss, where we tour the city and visit the Spanish riding school. And our journey ends in Hungary, with a guided tour of Budapest.

Prices are per person, based on two people sharing a twin cabin with a limited number of sole occupancy cabins available on all decks, at the relevant supplement. The price includes:
- Full board from dinner on your day of arrival until breakfast on your final day; if you choose to travel with us on any of the full day excursions by coach, a packed lunch will be provided. Anyone choosing to stay on the ship may of course have lunch in the restaurant

Due to locks and low bridges along this stretch of river, the rear main part of the sun deck will be closed between Mainz and Passau. The other outside areas in front of the lounge, the lido bar and the lower section of the sun deck in front of the wheelhouse are still accessible.

Our ships are moving vessels, therefore, you may experience some noise on board. Noise levels tend to be louder when the ship is manoeuvring, docking, and can vary depending on the river conditions and weather. Cabins in the middle and towards the front of the ship are less likely to be affected than those at the rear.
The deposit for this holiday is £500pp, then the remaining balance of the holiday is due a minimum of 101 days before you depart.
