The luxurious Mowana Safari Lodge is located on the banks of the river Chobe and was built around a mighty 800-year-old baobab tree. The excellent facilities include an outdoor swimming-pool lined with plush sun-loungers, a Boma terrace and pool bar plus a main restaurant and bar where you can enjoy a drink and delicious evening meal overlooking the river. There’s also a tennis court and a 9-hole golf course in the resort grounds, plus a hair salon built into a treehouse.
All rooms feature either a balcony or patio, and have an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, mosquito nets and a TV.
The Chobe flows directly past the hotel, with Chobe National Park just 5 miles away. The area is full of wildlife, with a huge elephant population for which Chobe is known.
