Solo Douro cruise November 8 2019

I was wondering if you have any idea about what time the ship arrives back in Porto on November 14 and when we will leave for the airport on November 15 to fly back to Liverpool at 16.15? I have friends who live in Portugal who would like to meet up briefly if there were time. Thanks. Chris

Hello Chris,

I've had a chat with my colleagues in the river cruising department and here are the timings for the last couple of days in Porto:
- 14th Nov arrive in Villa Nova de Gaia (south bank of Porto) around 11:00 and visit nearby port cellar. Return to the ship for lunch with the rest of the afternoon (approx. from 14:00) free.
- 15th Nov the transfer back to the airport would depart the ship around 14:00.

So according to that schedule there should be time both on the afternoon/evening of the 14th, or the morning of the 15th to meet up with your friends.

I am thinking of booking the Douro Solo Cruise for November 15th, I haven't travelled alone for many years. What age group should I expect on board? I'm 54. Thanks. Debs

Dear Debs12,

We don't have a solo Douro cruise departing on the 15th of November - we do however have one departing on the 8th returning on the 15th, and one departing the 10th and returning on the 17th - 2019. For 2020 we have departures on the 8th and 13th of November.

For the two dates departing this year we only have one cabin left, and that is on the departure on the 8th of November. With regards to the age range for our two departures this November we have people from early 20's all the way through to young centenarians, so you're likely to find someone around your age!
