hi, this might be a daft question, but are these riviera / go solo holidays just for people travelling on their own, or will there be couples etc on there too? thanks, sue

Hi Sue,

welcome!

Certainly not a daft question. All Go Solo holidays are exclusively for solo travellers.

We currently have the same holidays available on our regular Riviera Travel range but they are open to anyone.

So if it is holidays for single travellers you are interested in then Go Solo is hopefully for you!

Hi Karen

We have already launched 2018 dates on our South Africa and Sri Lanka tours. Soon to be followed by India & Shimla.

We have also launched Vietnam & Cambodia which is on sale now.

Our brand new tour of Portugal should be ready for launch around Easter.

We will also be launching 3 further new tours by the summer for 2018.

Hope that helps!

I really enjoyed my first solo holiday with Riviera Travel to Berlin, Meissen, Colditz and Berlin earlier this year. I have the latest issue of your solo tours brochure, but was wondering if you have any plans to increase the number of destinations available for solo travellers?

I’m looking to move away from the singles holiday company that I’ve used extensively in the past, and being as my first experience with RT was extremely positive, it would be great if you offered a wider choice of destinations to chose from in the future.

Any news on the company’s current thinking on this would be appreciated.

Many thanks
Mike

Hi Mike, great to know you enjoyed your first trip with us.

We launched our solo tours for 2017 with a range of 8 itineraries which we have doubled for 2018. The response has been fantastic so far and we are looking forward to increasing even further for 2019.

Let us know if there are any destinations you are interested in !

Thanks for your prompt reply. It’s great to know that you have plans for increasing your range of solo tours in the future.

As for destinations that I would be interested in, Alaska and the Galápagos Islands are just a couple that immediately come to mind.

And what are the chances of providing some solo departures (preferably July-August) for your new ‘Bali & The Dragons of Komodo’ tour?

Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike,

As that is a new tour that has just launched we will probably want to gauge popularity for it before committing to adding solo exclusive tours in all honesty. So I would say it is unlikely for 2018 but possible for 2019 if it proves popular.

We will keep looking to add new destinations over the next couple of years as people get to know that we offer holidays for solo travellers.

In the meantime, any comments or questions - we are always right here ready to respond!
