Just booked my first riviera holiday - doing the Bratislava/Budapest trip in September

This will be my first singles holiday. Don’t really have friends that I can travel with as they are all married with kids. Used to mostly do horse riding holidays but have had to give them up for health reasons

Have done a couple of other group touring holidays with other companies. They were great but sometimes it’s nit fun being on your own when most of the rest of the group are either couples or families. Thought I would give a singles one a try

Dear Elisebev,

First of all welcome to Riviera. We're glad that you've chosen us, and by the sound of things our tours are just for you as we do not allow couples or groups along. That way everyone is a solo traveller, which helps foster a convivial environment.

Should you have any questions don't hesitate to ask here on the forum, or call up our reservations team who will be more than happy to help.

Best regards,

Erik.

I'm sure you'll love trip - it's a beautiful part of Europe. I've already done one of Riviera's solo trips and it was really great - one of my best holidays ever! I already have two of their solo trips booked for this year. Hope you have a wonderful time.

I've been looking for my first trip on my own, since I lost my partner a year ago.

I'm really interested in the September trip to Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna.
I'd be flying out of Bristol/ Where will you be flying from?

Im flying from Gatwick. I looked at both flight options (I’m flying from Glasgow first) but flighttimes seemed better for Gatwick. Ive got a friend who is also interested in joining the trip

I’m in a similar position, too, having lost my husband recently. I’ve been on Riviera yours a couple of times, but with my husband, so thinking of trying a Solo tour.
I would probably look at Bristol departures but would travel if necessary. I’ve got to admit I’m very tempted by the Sri Lanka trip.

Well I have done it. Booked my first solo trip to Vietnam and Cambodia end of November. Excited but nervous too.
First solo trip. Having just lost my husband last year.

Hi, I am also a newbie having been widowed in October last year. I am very interested in Sri Lanka for early next year when I think it is the drier season, so I am waiting for a new brochure from Riviera. I loved travelling with my husband, so although daunting , I am determined to strike out on my own.

Dear Mazj,

The Sri Lanka dates for 2020 are now on sale. I hope there's a date that suits you.

Erik.

Hi Erik
I think the general escorted tours are on sale for 2020 but I haven't seen the solo tours on sale yet, thanks though.
