I’m dithering, wondering whether to press button ‘Go’ for this holiday in mid May, via Manchester... Has anyone been who can make comments? Or is anyone else going to Lake Garda and beyond? Thanks. Jane

Me too and I’m of Italian extraction! I have discovered that for solo travel companies to keep prices low and their profits high, they have to negotiate prices and they cut on the food. Being Italian I just wont put up with second rate especially in Italy where it’s simply not necessary and would ruin the whole holiday for me. I’m guessing Riviera Travel do the same so I’m just not sure what to do!

Hi Anna and Jane,

thanks for your interest in our Italian holidays. I do understand how important food is when you are travelling, I feel exactly the same. I personally went to our hotel on Lake Garda to experience it for myself and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The food was classically Italian, using just a few simple ingredients but making them taste delicious.

We did not ask the hotel to reduce the prices of the meals because we wanted to ensure that our guests get the best possible experience at the hotel.

I hope this helps?

Will

Hi Will

Thanks for the reply. At the risk of this sounding rude and patronising (which I don’t mean to be!) but Italian foodto an Italian and Italian food to a Brit are very different! However, I’m reth8nking now and may take a chance!

Thanks
Anna

I did Lake Garda last year on a solo tour with Riviera. It was slightly different to this one but I had a fantastic time so I would say go ahead and book it.

I am also considering this one for June from East Midlands, I have never travelled "solo" before so a bit nervous about doing this but love Italy.

So I’ve decided to take the plunge and I’ve booked Lake Garda and the Veneto flying from Manchester on 17/5/19, although I shall be travelling from Northumberland. Does anybody who is going on the trip want to make contact? Jane.

My trip in May will be my first as a solo too. I’m reassured to read that Lake Garda has been a successful holiday in the past. This trip all stay at The Savoy Hotel. Does anybody have any hints about the holiday?
I mentioned before that I shall be flying from Manchester on 17th May 2019.
Thanks. Jane
