Hi

I am new to Solo holidays but have just booked the April 9 departure.
Based in Derby, just wondered who else might have booked this trip?

Good afternoon Andy, great to hear that you will soon be in incredible India with us. There are 32 fellow travellers on this date, a very nice group size for a tour like this.

Have an amazing time.

Hi Andy,
I am also going on the April trip. Its my first time with Riviera and my first solo holiday so am both nervous and very excited. I've always wanted to go to India and this seems like the ideal trip. I much prefer "experiences" to sitting on a beach, and am more used to independent travel than tours so this will be something new.
I'm based in Cornwall

Hi Helen

Thanks for your reply, doesn't look like our fellow travelers have found this chat site yet!
I also like independent trips and this will be my first "solo" holiday. With 32 of us going I am sure we will all have a good time.

I found this documentary on YouTube about the Shimla railway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shD50haKPMw
Can't wait to get there and see the sights.

8-) Hi all
I am booked on this trip as well.
Usually travel independently but thought I’d try an organised trip as India is so vast.Know friends and family who have visited India and fell in love with it but
Have stayed in shall we say some suspect accommodation. So hotels on this one look amazing.
Looking forward to meeting you all
Martin

Hi Everyone

I have just applied for my India e-Visa!!
Had one small problem in that my scanned passport pdf. file was too big to upload.
There is a 300Kb file size limit and mine was 325!!

I have found however an online site where you can reduce pdf. files.
https://smallpdf.com/compress-pdf.
You simply drag file onto site and it reduces for you.

Other than that, the process was relatively simple.

Hi
Just finished the e.visa application bit long winded but managed to do it all on my iPad including photo[awful]and passport scan.
As Andy said had to resize both but there are free apps for doing this on App Store.

What website did you use for your visa ?

I have googled it and there are so many sites, not sure which one I should be using.

Thanks
Sharon
