Hi all, first time with Riviera Solo Travel, I have always fancied South Africa, but a bit concerned at 65 I may be a bit old for this trip, what do you think? Anyone been? How did you find the trip. This would be my holiday of a lifetime so I don't want to waste the £3k a it would cost, would much appreciate your thoughts, cheers

Hi - hope not! I’m going in Feb - a few years older than you, not on solo tour but on my own! Hoping metal knee & other arthritic knee behave themselves. Go for it and enjoy.

Hi Roberta. Did you book? I'm the same as you. Desperate to book but keep taking cold feet. I almost booked for this year but left it too late and it was fully booked. Now the prices have jumped quite a bit for 2018. But I still want to go as they reviews are great. I'm looking at April or May as I don't like it too hot.

Hi there everyone going on the South African tour on the 25th April.
I have just rang about booking a place on the bush walk and a night in the tented camp. For the solo tour it has to be booked in advance at a cost of £250. The tents are shared with another person so they have to have numbers before we go.
If anyone would like to do this bush walk ( I’ve heard it’s amazing) I will gladly share with you. Sorry ladies only!

Hi Jean77,
I've booked SA for August 2018. It won't be too hot as it's Winter over there :D

Hi Jennifer. I thought about August too but in the end I booked for 25 April. It's autumn so i'm hoping for 'pleasant'. :)

Hi Jennifer, will be interested in your feedback re Aug trip/temperatures as I’m thinking about Aug next year (was considering Feb but think Aug May be better).
