Re: First solo trip

Dear Helen, First of all welcome to the solo forum here at Riviera Travel. I would like to reassure you that on our solo tours we do not accept couples or groups of more than two people travelling together (I have been on two of our solo tours already and on both occasions lone travellers were in th...

Re: Best time to visit South Africa

Dear Joy, I think if wildlife spotting in Kruger is one of your main drivers then October might already fall into the wet season, whilst August and September should be fine (although September already sees an uptick in rainfall). Please also note that hot and cold are relative terms, so even in July...

Re: Best time to visit South Africa

Hello Joy, Below are the best times for visiting the trio that you've mentioned for wildlife spotting specifically: Kruger - July to September (this is the cold/dry season and so there is less vegetation, making wildlife spotting easier) Hermanus - July to October (though whales are there from about...

Re: Welcome!

Hi Collette, Welcome to the solo forum here at Riviera! I hope that we may have something for you here that would suit you, although if you could give us some interests or things you would like to see or do on a trip it would help me and the other users of this forum to give you recommendations that...

Re: Ryanair baggage allowance

Dear Tricia, As with all our tours hold luggage is included in the price. In this instance you have an allowance of one item of hold luggage of up to 20kg, as well as one item of cabin baggage which must be able to fit under the seat in front of you (40cm x 20cm x 25cm), such as a handbag, laptop ba...

Re: Lake Garda

Hi Tricia, Further to Rudy's comments (and I'm also sorry that your Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna) I would say that booking early is always the best policy with us as it does happen that we sometimes need to raise the prices of tours if airlines raise their prices (something we unfortunately have ...

Re: Vietnam and Cambodia

Dear Lina, Thanks for getting in touch with us. I can confirm that around 30 is indeed the norm with our Vietnam tours, so if a group size of 15-20 is a red line for you then you may have to look elsewhere. However I would say that feedback from this tour has been consistently very good and the fact...

Re: Considering Tenerife & La Gomera

Dear Barbara, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your trip with us to Croatia and that it has given you confidence to book with us again. With regards to our tour to the Canaries I can confidently say that none of our clients has experience of the tour as it is new for next year, however as I was involved...

Re: Yacht Cruise Split 2020 solo

Hi Cathy, I hope the information Rudy provided is of use. One question you asked that she didn't touch on was luggage allowance, and this is because the allowance is dependent on the airline (although please rest assured that hold luggage is always included in the price with Riviera). Therefore if y...

Re: Vietnam and Cambodia

Dear Irnbru,

I can confirm that the ages of the solo Vietnam group departing in November this year range from late 30's to early 80's. Currently there are 30 people booked on the tour which means that there are only 2 spaces available.

Erik.
