Re: First Solo Travel

Hi Ell90, Welcome to the forum. Sorry for the delay in responding as not much happens over Christmas! With regards to your question about the ages of people on our tours, yes, you would certainly be much younger than most of our clients. However I'm in my 30's and went on a solo tour recently and tr...

Re: Weather in Sri Lanka

Dear Traceyb, Despite being quite a small island rainfall in Sri Lanka varies quite a lot from area to area as it is subject to two monsoon systems that come from different directions. Therefore May is one of the wetter months in the southwest, around Colombo and Galle, whereas in Yala on the southe...

Re: Solo trips in 2019

Dear Penbat, I apologise for the late response to your question, as we had a problem with our forum server. Unfortunately at the time you sent your question there were no more solo departures in 2019, and our first departure of 2020 is on the 1st of February (to Morocco). Again, I apologise for the ...

Re: First solo trip

Hi Helen, With regards to ages they do vary quite a bit on our tours. I had a look at this year's departures and we had ages ranging from 34 through to 80, with everything in between. That said, the largest cohort I would say are in their 60's. With regards to other departure dates we do have a tour...

Re: Best time to visit South Africa

Dear Joy, I think if wildlife spotting in Kruger is one of your main drivers then October might already fall into the wet season, whilst August and September should be fine (although September already sees an uptick in rainfall). Please also note that hot and cold are relative terms, so even in July...

Re: Best time to visit South Africa

Hello Joy, Below are the best times for visiting the trio that you've mentioned for wildlife spotting specifically: Kruger - July to September (this is the cold/dry season and so there is less vegetation, making wildlife spotting easier) Hermanus - July to October (though whales are there from about...
