Your tour to New Zealand - the “land of the long white cloud” - will take you through an ever-changing array of wonderful, breathtaking landscapes. Packed into a land mass of just over 100,000 square miles - only a little larger than the UK - there are magnificent national parks, snow-covered mountains, rugged peaks, thick forests of beech, fir and pine, green fertile coastal plains, swiftly rushing rivers, plunging waterfalls, huge lakes and fjords, geysers and volcanoes. There are wide sandy beaches along the length of an astonishing 3,400 mile coastline. It’s this extraordinary variety that truly makes New Zealand one of those holiday destinations of a lifetime.
Many have travelled here in search of a better way of life in a new country. The indigenous Maori population arrived from neighbouring Polynesian islands during the 13th century. They were joined only much later by European explorers and settlers. You’ll walk in their footsteps during your New Zealand tour, seeing history brought to life in iconic places such as the Waitangi Treaty House where the governance of New Zealand was settled between Maori chiefs and the English Crown in February 1840. Today, the country is blessed with a fascinating cultural mix and an easy-going Kiwi lifestyle that’s the envy of the world. Even before your New Zealand tour starts in earnest, a stopover in Singapore gives you time to explore many of the attractions of this vibrant Asian metropolis. But then it’s on to Auckland, “the city of sails”, the beautiful sub-tropical Bay of Islands, the thermal wonderland of Rotorua and the wine lovers’ paradise of Hawke’s Bay. Then there are the Art Deco delights of Napier, the spectacular harbour of Wellington, a great train journey across the Southern Alps, scenic Lake Wakatipu, the World Heritage Fiordland National Park, a cruise on the Milford Sound and a visit to Mount Cook. All this and more eagerly awaits you on your stunning tour of New Zealand.

Excellent tour manager, very knowledgable, organised and helpful. The coach driver was very good. I would not have driven up etna. We would love to do the other Sicily tour but that only goes from Gatwick.
