Travel Insurance

 

It is your responsibility to take out appropriate travel insurance at the time of booking. It is a requirement of our booking conditions that every Riviera Travel passenger is in possession of valid travel insurance for the full duration of your trip.

If you have not organised this yet, please make sure you are covered before you leave home.

You are free to choose any travel insurance policy, however you should ensure that your policy provides at least the same benefits as the scheme offered by Riviera Travel.

Our new improved policy

With our new and improved insurance policy you can get back to exploring with confidence knowing you will be protected with our enhanced Covid cover. Here at Riviera Travel we try to ensure that you and your safety are of paramount importance so you can now travel knowing you'll be covered for:-

  • Cancellation if you contract Covid-19 within 14 days of travelling*
  • Emergency medical expenses if you contract Covid whilst you are away
  • Repatriation to bring you back when needed*
  • If you are denied boarding on your inbound flight due to showing symptoms of Covid-19
  • Up to 30 days FREE extended cover (if due to circumstances beyond your control or you are unable to return home)

This means that if you develop Covid-19 at home or abroad you will be looked after every step of the way, we are here to help you ensure you are safe. So, if the FCO say you are safe to travel to your destination and you feeel ready to get back to exploring, feel at esase kowing you will be covered with our enhanced cover. **

Travel insurance is provided by Riviera Travel (FRN 455993) as an appointed representative of Travel & General Insurance Services Limited (FRN 304788) who are authorised and regulated by the FCA.

This insurance is arranged by Travel & General Insurance Services and Underwritten by Travel Insurance Facilities and Insured by Union Reiseversicherung AG, UK. Travel Insurance Facilities are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Union Reiseversicherung AG are authorised by BaFin and subject to limited regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority. 

  • There are exclusions relating to any pre-existing medical conditions for you and anyone on whom your travel plans depend (such as a Close Relative).
  • Please call our dedicated Healthcheck team on 0203 829 6637 and they will be able to advise you of the cover available.
  • You will be provided with a policy booklet and confirmation certificate, please read both carefully to ensure that the cover provided meets your needs.
  • If for any reason you are not happy with the policy, you can return it to us within 14 days for a full refund provided that you have not travelled or made a claim.

You should always carry your policy documents and the 24 hour emergency number with you on your holiday.
